Cast Iron Stuffed Cabbage

1 head cabbage

1 cup cooked rice

1/4 cup onion

1 clove garlic

1 jar pasta sauce

1 lb ground beef*

Chop the cabbage into big chunks and put into boiling water until soft. While that cooks, brown the ground beef in a large cast iron pan and add salt, pepper, Italian seasoning. When the beef is almost cooked through, add garlic, onion and cooked rice and stir all together. Add drained cabbage and sauce to all other ingredients and stir together until well mixed. Let cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

*I originally made this recipe before I stopped eating meat. Now, I would omit the ground beef and add extra rice and onion.
